Grad Stuff and Employment

I took my GRE test yesterday morning, and I was extremely nervous. I didn't do as much prep work as I would have liked, no motivation at all right now. All in all, I probably only studied about three or four hours max. I think if I had taken this more seriously I would have done a lot better. Well, the requirement to get in was to score at least 1,000. If I had scored 800-999 it would have meant that I would be on probation for the first semester, or year, or something. Anyway, the test lasted three hours, and I opted out of the research section because it was math, and I was sick of it. And I got 1,010!! That's just the quantitative and verbal sections. In 5-10 days I'll find out how I did on the writing section. I've generally been a pretty good writer, not the best, but I can form sentences and paragraphs with the occasional fantastic point. As of today, two of my letters of recommendation are still not entered into the system. I found out yesterday that one of the letters hasn't even been sent yet! Talk about stress. Luckily, when I set up my interview for the program, I found out the deadline has been pushed back to December. Hopefully all of my stuff will be in by then!
Today is my last day with USU, and I'm not all that sad to see it be done. I generally only work once a week, and only for a couple of hours. My last paycheck was less than $100, and I need more than that to pay the bills. I'll be calling the temp agency I worked for to see if there is any work, and I'll be signing up for unemployment soon as well. I may even start calling around to book stores to see if they're hiring for the season. I don't enjoy retail, but I would rather work with books than with clothing. I've applied to a couple of credit unions, and I think I'll start applying to banks because I've been seeing a lot of posts for jobs there. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, but I guess if I get a job with one of them I'll find out.
