Life

Life has been pretty hectic with two jobs, and I haven't quite gotten into the right groove to fit school work into it. I'm on my fourth week of having two jobs, and things are going pretty well in that department. SLCC hasn't quite yet decided if they will want to keep my at the end of the summer. Two girls quit, one from pregnancy the other from running out of work study money, and one of them won't be returning. They've asked me to send them my availability, and if I stay I hope to keep my current schedule of working only during the mornings during the week to make it easy to work my other job. I'm trying to make myself as useful as possible to show what a good asset I would be. There may be a chance that somebody else might be leaving, so hopefully I'll have a job. I've also finally been contacted by the Salt Lake County Library saying I'm in the running for a customer service specialist (check out desk). Of course, my number has changed from what I put on the application, so I sent an email with my new contact information (I hope I sent it to the right one).
My car has decided to not like me right now. Antifreeze has been leaking, so I decided to get it checked out. Since I was there I decided to make sure there weren't too many other problems. Turns out there was over $2,100 worth of stuff wrong with my car. Even only doing what's necessary it's still going to cost me over $600. Of course the part they need has been discontinued, so they have to special order it. I really want a new car, or newer car, right now but I can't afford it. Until I know the job situation, I won't be able to make a move. There may be a light at the end of the tunnel, but I won't know for quite awhile. Even if it does work out, I won't be able to get a different car until next year. Hopefully things will work out - in the not so distant future, and hopefully in a non-painful way.
