My new apartment, part 1

Since nobody has come to visit me, with the exception of one person, I am going to introduce you to my apartment. Say hello apartment!
This is my entrance, and if you will notice, there are no holes beneath the door. My managers finally fixed that! I live in a basement apartment, so I've had quite a few spiders trying to make my apartment their new home.
This is my living room. It came furnished, so I didn't have to bring anything with me or go buy anything. The amazing thing is that there are pictures on the wall! I didn't do that in my last two apartment.
This is my nice long kitchen. It's probably the biggest I've ever had, and it's all mine!!
Again, you will notice pictures, which have not been present in either of my last two apartments. And yes, I made the bed for the picture.
Here is another part of my room. The only thing I brought to furnish this room is the white shelving. It's a decent sized room, and it's not one I have to share, or worry about birds crawling in. My last Logan apartment was on the second floor (third if you count the basement), and my room was right next to the roof. One Sunday morning I heard a lot of scratching just above the ceiling, which really freaked me out. About five minutes later I hear a rustling noise in the kitchen, kind of like someone messing with a plastic bag. I go to check it out, and there's a small bird flapping around my kitchen! I don't have a lot of contact with wild animals, so it kind of freaked me out. So I hoped that if I opened the front door it would go away. It didn't because it went after the window in the kitchen. And when it needed to rest, it hid behind the counter and under the heater. A few times I thought it was gone, but it just fooled me. I ended up just leaving the kitchen window open for about a half hour just to make sure the bird was gone, and I basically locked myself in my room.

Your apartment is so cute! I'm so glad you get such a big kitchen all to yourself. The only downside is that if the sink is full of dishes you can't blame anyone. ;-) Hope the semester is going well!
