I'm Old!

Yesterday the weirdest thing in the world happened. I tweaked my lower back by putting on my shoe! Don't ask me why or how it happened, but it did. I went to racquetball practice for the first time in a month, and I had just put my ankle brace on to make sure I didn't hurt that and I put on my shoe, and all of a sudden my back is KILLING me! I had done some stretching, and I was hoping it was only a twinge of pain rather than something constant, but even after laying down and stretching, it didn't get better. I tried to shake it off, but when I stood up and bent down to grab my racket, the pain was still there. So I decided to leave practice and just head home. But I was walking like an old person with back problems, and a pregnant person. I was almost waddling and holding my back at the same time. I'm sure I looked rather entertaining. I got home and took some aleve and warmed up my heating pad, but it didn't help any. So around 10, I called dad to ask what was wrong and what I could do.
Basically I'm not allowed to sit or strain my back for the next few days, if not week. So I didn't go to work or class today, I may not be able to work tomorrow, and I probably won't be able to swim next week. At least it's conference weekend and I don't have to go anywhere, but it's rather annoying to have to miss so much work, and the one class I have to miss is Latin, which is never good. So, all in all, this could be an interesting weekend. I can stand and walk, so long as I go slow and watch my posture, but sitting, or shifting my weight isn't a fun process anymore.
I should have enough to keep me entertained, but I've been having the craziest sweet tooth for the last month, and I think I'm going to need a lot of sweets to get through this. Let's hope what I have in my apartment will be enough, because there's no way I can drive anywhere, or do anything that requires sitting. Blah.
