Yesterday was like Saturday to me. Every day I was at work I had a Friday mentality. It probably didn't help that two of those nights I went to bed after midnight (I'm generally in bed by 11 at the latest). So when Thursday came around, I was very excited that it was my Friday. My actually Friday was spent at Lagoon. Kent's work was paying for everybody to go to Lagoon (and I was lucky enough to be included in that), paying for parking and dinner too.
We were originally planning on going at noon, but we ended up not getting there till after till around 2:30. That worked out for the best b/c we managed to get on all the rides we wanted to go on. We managed to get on about half of the rides, I think. I got Kent to go on several rollercoaster rides, since the only one he'd been on was the white rollercoaster (the rickety, wooden one). The lines weren't as bad as I was expecting them to be, which was nice. Luckily there was a slight breeze throughout the day, both natural and man made, that made the day not too hot. I went on Re-entry for the first time, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I screamed. I also got to ride the newest rollercoaster, Wicked. It was a lot of fun, and not nearly as scary as I thought it would be (which was slightly disappointing). I don't think I screamed that much while in the park, but I sure did giggle a lot.
There were a couple of rides that Kent and I rode together, and it was always amusing. One was Musik Express, where I was constantly being forced against him by gravity, and every time I tried to pull myself away from him, I ended up losing my grip b/c I was laughing too much. We rode together in the plane ride, and that was a tight fight where we were both laughing a lot.
By the end of the night, both of us were dying. We were walking like old people, taking small steps and every one of them painful. By the time we got back to Ogden, our feet, legs, backs, basically everything from the neck down hurt. But we made up for that by treating ourselves to Gran Torino, which was a fantastic movie. All in all, a very good day. I wish I had taken my camera and had some shots of our ridiculousness.
When all is said and done, we spent about 7 hours in Lagoon, and I didn't leave Ogden until 1am. I actually didn't have much trouble staying awake, which is amazing for me. And I didn't wake up until about 11am, which was a nice chunk of sleep. I was going to the gym today, but I think I'll pass to give my feet chance to recover.
