My semester started almost two weeks ago and I'm still trying to find my groove. I'm both dreading and excited for all my classes. I decided to take an extra class this semester. Cataloging seems like it will be more like an undergraduate class, regular homework assignments instead of projects, and a couple of tests. Collection Development is interesting, but it seems like it will be a very demanding class, with a very strict professor. I originally wasn't looking forward to the library management class, but now that I'm in management it seems like a good class to take.
Unfortunately I didn't get the scholarship or a paid trip to the ALA conference in New Orleans this summer. I'm hoping I'll find the time to join ULA (Utah Library Association) this year and start participating so I can get more experience and networking opportunities.
