School and stuff

I decided this week that I couldn't handle taking three classes this semester. Technically, if I had pushed myself I could have done it, but I'm halfway through the program and I just want to quit. Not exactly conducive to doing well in school. So I dropped the Cataloging class, which I hadn't done anything for anyway (and it's about a month into the semester!). So now I get to focus on Library Management (which I'm almost caught up in) and Collection Development (I have about 6 chapters to read). It's very frustrating to not be caught up in these classes because I find both the textbooks and topics to be interesting, but it's so time consuming to read and take notes. I think one of the problems is that I work nights now, so it is harder to get motivated to do stuff in the morning/early afternoon. I try to study, but something happens where I decide I just don't have the energy for it or decide to something more entertaining.
On a lighter note, I'm starting to go out and do stuff more. Two weeks ago I went to a college ice hockey game, and it was so fun cheering on the Aggies while they kicked BYU's trash! Last week I went to dinner with a bunch of my classmates after class at a pretty good Indian place (Himalayan Kitchen). We ate and talked for 2 hours, and for the first time my stomach didn't hate me for eating Indian food! Last night I went with a couple of friends to an institute dance at SLCC. The dance itself wasn't that impressive, but it was fun hanging out with friends and getting all dressed up. I've been wanting to go dancing for a long time, but I don't like clubbing and it's hard to find people to go country dancing. It's been so long since I've been that I don't want to go by myself.
I think I need to go out more often, take the edge off the stress of work (which isn't too bad) and school (which could be better). So if anybody wants to do anything, let me know. I actually don't work next weekend because of President's Day (yay holidays!), so if there's something fun going on, let me know!
