I've decided that I enjoy watching hockey. On Friday I went to a Grizzlies game at the E-Center, and they played the Ontario Reins (maybe Reigns). What kind of name is that anyway?!? What would the mascot be? A horse bridle? Anyway, the game was a lot of fun. I got a lot of pictures that I'll post sometime. The game was filled with body chucks into the wall, goalies being slammed into their goals, a fight (which was TOTALLY awesome to see!!), free hotdog coupons thrown from the rafters, players getting hurt and having to leave the rink, penalties, overtime, and a shootout. The Grizzlies didn't score until the 3rd period, and the Reins had 2 in the first. We managed to tie with about 20 seconds to spare. The overtime lasted five minutes with no scores, and the Grizzlies got two points in the shootout with the Reins getting none!! It was really exciting! I did a lot of yelling and cheering, and I almost lost my voice that night.
It's a good thing I didn't because I had to work at the Museum of Anthropology yesterday. The topic of the day was Women in Egypt, and the timeline was from ancient to present. I was the other worker at the event (somebody accidentally overbooked Saturday, so everybody else was working on Girl Scout's day), and we had almost 90 people show up for the event. The girl who prepped created a slide show, and needless to say we gave a lot of presentations. I definitely had my fill by the end of the day, and since I'm in Ancient Near East, and most of the powerful women in that time were in the 18th Dynasty (which I spent an annotated bibliography researching), so I had quite a bit of information that I could share. But it was a good day, and after work I met two other museum girls for sushi, which was FABULOUS!!! I forgot how much I enjoy sushi. I've probably only had it about five times, but they were all worth it. I don't think I've ever had bad sushi, and I would like to keep it that way. I ended the night by getting free ice cream from Cold Stone (yea for connections!) and visiting Mer. I showed up at 9:30, which you would think would be too late, but she does have two kids who have their own schedules. I kicked myself out at midnight, and I got to wake up naturally today!!! Yea!!
