Winning

I've realized something in the last few days. I'm a really competitive person (I didn't just realize that), and it generally happens when I play games, no matter what the game is. I try not to be overly competitive, or mean competitive, or a sore loser, but even in games like "I never", I want to be the winner.
Anyway, this semester I've been in a lap swimming class that essentially works out on Monday and plays games on Wednesday. The game we generally play is gutter ball. The point of the game is to get to the other teams wall and hold a volleyball in the gutter for three seconds without being pulled off the wall. This game is more vicious than water polo, especially since there isn't really a rule about drowning people to get a ball. Needless to say, there are people who end up with a gallon of chlorine water in their system before the class is over. With a game like this, I know I don't have a lot of upper body strength, I play defense. I'm pretty good at defense, and I try to help my teammates by warning them or telling them about an opening. I'm very proud of whatever team I'm on because with the exception of one or two times, my team has won every game! It's a lot of fun, especially trying to get people off the wall, or dunking them to get the ball to your team. Since I play defense I'm not drowning people very often, but it sure is a fun rowdy game.
