Monday Confessional

This may be a little early, or late, depending on how you want to look at. I figure this way I will have both weeks covered.

1. I finished Gilmore Girls this week, and the ending made me a little sad. I wish the CW had wanted to renew the contract for one last season, because I would have loved to see Luke and Lorelai's wedding.

2. I love getting cards, notes, and letters. I used to write missionaries from my hometown just so I could get some mail. Well, also because we were friends and I wanted to keep in touch. Anyway, one of my favorites is birthday cards. My siblings (haven't quite converted my parents yet) and I always give each other Hallmark cards (yes the commercials brainwashed us, but we're cool with that) for our birthdays. They're always funny cards too, nothing sentimental (not that there's anything wrong with that). The gifts and cash are a bonus, but it's always nice getting a card that shares a moment and memory between the card giver and receiver. It shows how well people know me, which is how I like it.

3. I love the new show Castle on ABC. The star is the main guy from Firefly/Serenity. It's funny, a crime show of sorts, and it's got eye candy.

4. Speaking of eye candy, I have a little crush on my US military history professor. Don't worry, it won't get out of hand. He's a good man, who loves history, and traveling, and his family, and has a plethora of knowledge. If he were 20 years younger and single, I would definitely go out with him. Never really pictured myself marrying a military man, but they're good people so why not?

5. I recently bought an 8GB ipod, and I wish I had bought a 16GB. I'm not able to put all my music on my ipod now, and I hate having to choose which ones to put on.

6. On the other hand, instead of only 1,000 songs I now have 1,800 songs, and I haven't been able to go completely through my music. Sometimes I get annoyed that I haven't finished it yet, and that there are so many songs. But to be fair, I uploaded more songs, so the count was reset. I only play on shuffle because it's what I listen to when I'm walking to school, at work, or cleaning.

7. On Monday I went to Wingers for their chicken wings, or buffalo wings, or whatever they're called. We got three different sauces, they were okay, but the best sauce was actually their fry sauce, which is a combination of their "awesome" sauce and ranch dressing. Yum!

8. I only have four weeks of class left before I graduate!! And to make things even better, I only have one final during finals week!

9. I haven't avidly started searching for a job yet because I don't think I'll be able to find a research job in Utah that doesn't deal with science or medicine. That means I'll probably work at a Bank, or somewhere else where my degree doesn't matter.

10. I may actually go to grad school because I found a school that has a cohort in Salt Lake City for an MLS. It won't start till January 2010, and it will be night and weekend classes, which means I'll still be able to work. The downside is that I'll have to take the GRE by August, and it will still cost me about $20,000 to do the program. I have to do more research before I can make a decision.
