Birthday!

As much as I wasn't looking forward to this birthday, I had a lot of fun in the week surrounding my birthday. The week of my birthday I went to Wingers with some girlfriends for their special wings day (Monday I think), and their sauces suck, their fry sauce is amazing, and the conversation was good. Wednesday was Cam's birthday, so I got to have cake twice that week! Thursday I baked a cake because I knew I wouldn't be going to my parents for my birthday (and in a week I've eaten almost the entire thing). I tried to find the Pillsbury funfetti with the soft sprinkles already mixed in with the frosting, and I was disappointed to not be able to find it. So I had to make due with a substitute, and I think that frosting is a little to sweet for me. If I ever buy frosting again, I'll have to try a generic brand to see how it compares.
My party was on Saturday, and it was a blast. I got to sleep in, and just in case people wanted to come over afterwards for games I cleaned up the place, especially those dishes that had been piling up for weeks. I hate washing dishes by hand. The party started at 5pm at Happy Sushi. It's got fabulous food, and it's a small, out of the way place, which means it could be the best in town (generally the not so big, out of the way, kind of run down places have some of the best ethnic food!). I was very happy with the group that showed up, and the conversation that ensued was a lot of fun. I ate a lot of sushi, and for once I didn't actually eat my fill there, and I swear I had at least a dozen pieces.
Sunday I went to a friends house for dinner, and it was fun visiting some more. Wednesday at work we had a potluck where I ate entirely too much food, and the rest of my day was somewhat uncomfortable, but there was cake to celebrate the march and april birthdays.
Now I get to look forward to my meal of choice on Sunday at my parents place!! The weather is supposed to be sunny that day, but we'll see how it goes.
