Well, I am officially done with classes! I took my one and only final today, and I'm pretty sure I aced it. I somehow always seem to be one of the first to finish a test, and it always makes me nervous about finishing so fast ahead of everyone else. Luckily the test was mostly multiple choice, and they were mostly based off of the previous four tests we've had, with some rewording. I have one grade posted so far, and guess what? I passed my swimming class. I'm hoping my other two grades will be posted by Friday. It would be nice to finish my last semester with a 4.0, but it all depends on my Folk Material Class, I didn't do as well on my last paper as I had hoped I would. Graduation is on Saturday, and it looks like there's supposed to be a few showers throughout the day. The weather will be the deciding factor of whether or not I walk from the Quad to the Spectrum. My family will be there for my actual graduation, which I'm excited about. On a lighter note, I still haven't figured out what to wear. I know I'll be in a gown, but I won't be in that all day. Do I wear slacks? Or a dress/skirt? Do I wear my comfy flip flops? Or go for the cute sandals? And I want to bring stuff to keep my occupied while I'm waiting for things to start, or finish, but I won't be wearing anything with pockets, so do I bring a purse and hide it under my gown? I've never graduated before, so I don't know what to do here.
I went to the gym for the first time in years today, or the Mutual Brutalization Society as Mer would like to call it. I've never really worked out with anyone before, yeah we've gone together but we always do our own thing, so tonight was actually a lot of fun. I'm not surprised, I just didn't know how it would work out. I did a well rounded workout of everything, even my back, which was nice. I was sore while I was at the gym, but I'm not too sore now, which makes me wonder if I worked out enough. I haven't really done a lot of sweating, but our warm up was the bikes b/c there weren't two other cardio machines open next to each other. Plus, I doubt we would have gabbed and chattered like we did if we were doing the other machines. It was fun, and apparently the guy at the front desk was checking me out and flirting with me, wohoo. It was a good night, and I'm glad I have someone to drag me there. I had the chance to go on Saturday or Monday by myself, but I didn't go, so the workout partner is a necessity.
Job hunting is a pain in my butt. I don't really want to deal with usajobs.gov because it's a pain to find what I'm looking for. I've applied to about a dozen jobs, so it will be interesting to see if anyone responds. Most of them have been emailing a resume, but I never do a cover letter unless told to do so. I do try to do a cover letter of sorts when I email my resume, but so far nothing. I actually sent in my resume to a place that's looking to hire english teachers in Korea, a paying job too. The idea of going to a foreign country by myself terrifies me, but how else am I going to see the world right now? Besides, they'd be paying for my housing, my flight, giving me benefits, and I'd earn really good money over there. Who knows if I'll hear from them, or if I'll even take the job, but it's kind of exciting to see myself branch out of my bubble. While I wait for a new job, I'll be plugging along at my current one. I haven't worked a summer at my current job, so it will be interesting to see what it will be like. I also need to find a place to live, and so far nothing has caught my fancy. I'm checking out a couple of places tomorrow, so hopefully something will work out. Oh the joys of the real world.
