What a Beautiful Day!!

Today is an awesomely, fantabulous day! I decided I wanted to study for a quiz and presentation I had to give today in my Folk Material Culture class, so I decided to not go in to work this morning, and it was one of the best decisions I could make today. While I was getting ready for class, I remembered some of the songs I wanted. Kent gave me an Itunes gift card, and I couldn't remember any of the songs I wanted, and it made me a little frustrated. I got a song here and there, but there were some songs I REALLY wanted, and it was bugging me that I couldn't remember any of them. Well, this morning, I remembered a lot of songs I wanted! I got country songs, 80s songs, Oldies, and Classic Rock songs!! I remembered I wanted Huey Lewis and the News and Scorpion songs, and it was fabulous that I could find all of them! I actually spent an extra $6 because I ran out of money on the gift card (Thanks for the birthday present Kent!!)
I downloaded the songs onto my Ipod, and I actually haven't heard any of the new songs I added yet (except for Watermelon Crawl), but I have almost 1800 songs and my Ipod is set to shuffle. Getting that music, and knowing that it's supposed to be in the 50s today made my day so great. As I was walking to school today, I had to take off my light jacket so I wouldn't be so hot, and this is while I can still see my breath. As I was walking, I decided I was only going to listen to happy, or at least a happy beat, music, and it's been great. I had a smile all the way to school and during the one hour of work I did before my classes.
The quiz was easy, my presentation wasn't the best but it went well (I forgot the little note card I had written for it), and I finished my midterm in 10 minutes (my professor is out of town, so it was mostly multiple choice, true/false questions). Today is Classics Day in the history department, and tonight is the Classics dinner (yummy lasagna, not as good as my mom's but still good) and the Ludi Romani (Roman Games). I haven't decided if I'm going to play in the game, but I look forward to seeing all my fellow Latin students who I haven't seen much of this semester. I've had classes with these people for 2 1/2 years, and it's weird that I will soon no longer see them. I see them occasionally now and then on campus, but several of us will be graduating soon. So I have to take my camera and get pictures of the 3rd year Latin students.
I'm exciting for the fabulously warm weekend!
