This week hasn't been too eventful. I worked out too much on Monday, and it haunted me until this morning. Granted, treading water for about 40 minutes on Wednesday wasn't a lot of help either.
I had a crazy dream a few nights ago. I was me and Judy Garland, which is kind of weird. I was at some kind of bath house, then Danny Kaye was there. I was all of a sudden out of the water and in a modern but not dress, and Danny Kaye was in a tux with top hat and white gloves. We started dancing, and there were some lifts in there, and I think a little bit of singing. All of a sudden, after a lift, he grabs me and kisses me. This isn't one of those cute pecks that you saw in the old movies, but a wow, hot, passionate kiss. And in my dream, the man could kiss! It was kind of sad to wake up from that dream, especially since I was Judy Garland, like a character in one of her movies, not her in real life.
I am proud to say that I've been on two dates in the last week. One of my coworkers set me up with his brother, and we've had some fun. He works at Why Sound, so these weren't late dates, but they were entertaining. Dinner, talk of movies, and mostly talk of music was involved. Other than that, there really isn't much to report on that front.
There's only two weeks left of classes, and I'm very excited. I have a test and presentation on Friday, and one final during finals week, and then I'm done! I picked up my cords yesterday, which I will proudly wear at graduation. I was inducted into Phi Alpha Theta (History Honor Society) in February or March, and I'm glad to get to do something with it.
I did two hours of job hunting on Tuesday, and it was miserable. I applied to about six or seven jobs, most of which I didn't want to do, but it was something I could do. The only job that I want is a job I'm not qualified enough for, which is a research job for the Utah System of Higher Education. I'll probably do another search next week, and hopefully something else will show up. If nothing else, I can stay at my job through summer, which will at least be something. I'm just hoping I find something before I'm unemployed. I'm half tempted to just bide my time till I can go to grad school for my Master of Library Science. At this point, I'm looking for a decent job somewhere between Ogden and Draper. If I can't find a good job by the end of summer, I'll just have to settle for something else till I can find something. So please keep me in your prayers, along with all the other poor souls who need a job.
