New job, new school

This week has been pretty busy, but not busy at the same time. I finished training at my job on Tuesday, and began working on my own on Wednesday. I work as a temp at MediConnect Global, which is a company that requests medical records for insurance, legal, and individuals. I work in insurance, requesting progress notes. Each day has flown by pretty fast since training ended, and I'm not too worried about messing up. I've only had to deal with frustrated, busy, and annoyed people, but they've never taken it out on me. The business is expanding, but they haven't been hiring a lot of people. A lot of the people I've trained with have been working as a temp for several months now, but they don't know if they'll be hired any time soon. If I continue to do job hunting, it will only be for jobs I actually want to have, which means I'm no longer applying for bank jobs. There aren't a lot of data entry jobs, and they seem to not think I have enough experience or something, so I have yet to be interviewed for that type of job.
Now that school has started, it's been kind of stressful. I have a lot of reading assignments to do, but I haven't been able to get myself to start reading. By the time I get home from work, I'm too tired to focus on reading, and deep thinking reading at that. I had orientation last night, and I found out a lot of interesting stuff. Apparently if I want to finish my degree in two years, I'm expected to go to school all year. I got some helpful training in using some of the school technology, and I got some helpful feedback from an alumni panel. There are about 40 people in my cohort (the group of people that are going through the program together in distance education), and it's the biggest they've had in Utah. I've had the chance to get to know some of them yesterday and today. Today was the graduation of the previous cohort. I helped with passing out programs, and kind of helped at the reception. I kind of did some networking, talked with some librarians and graduates, but by the time I left, I was very happy to leave.
Today has been a busy day, and it ends with a party with homemade Chinese food. Yum!! Bring on the good eats!
