The grades are finally in and I got a 4.0 for the semester!! I passed my online class, and I'm a solid A in both of my other classes. I was most worried about my Foundation of Library and Information Science class. About half of our grade was doing a reflective journal and we had to comment on both the books and articles we had to read. Well, I commented on the books, not so much the articles, but my professor loved it! It's nice to have the first semester done with. Unfortunately, I only had a two week break and now the summer semester has begun. Now everything has to be shoved in about 2 1/2 months instead of 4, so everything is much more rushed. I can't say I'm looking forward to that, but at least I'm getting closer and closer to being done with school. I have my first weekend class this week, and my next one is in two weeks.
As for the job hunt, it's not going very well. This time around I'm not applying for anything and everything, which means I'm not applying for bank jobs. I thought I would like to work in a bank, but I'm not a sales person, and I'm not going to try to sell products. Considering the only bank that ever interviewed me was Wellsfargo, I don't think I have much of a chance. I've interviewed for 2 library jobs. The first was as a page for the Weber County library system. I was told I did great, but I wasn't hired. I was also told I'd be a shoe-in for their substitute position, but as of yet I haven't heard anything. I interviewed for 2 different positions at SLCC, but I don't feel confident about the interview. They said there were only 10 applicants total for the two jobs, so I have a better chance this time around. It would only be for the summer, and there would be no guarantee they'd be able to keep me (if I got the job) after that. I won't find out until the end of the week or beginning of next week if I got the job. So the hunt continues and I'll probably call the staff agency next week if I don't get the job.
I've been spending my time relaxing and being lazy once again. I have done some good stuff, and I'm being a little more active this time around.
If you hear of any jobs you think I'll be good for, let me know.
