I went camping last weekend and had a blast! It's my first time camping in about 8 years, and I wasn't sure how I would feel about it. But I went with some coworkers and their friends and it turned out great! We had hot dogs for dinner, I had two and met my quota for the foreseeable future. I'm not the biggest fan of hot dogs, but they aren't too bad. For dessert we had campfire eclairs, which consists of cooking biscuit dough on a dowel and adding vanilla pudding in the middle once it's cooked with chocolate frosting on top. It was quite scrumptious, and a bigger hit than smores.
Some of us stayed up until 2am chatting, which was fun. It was freezing at night, so it was a good thing I had a hoodie to keep my head warm. I woke up at 8am and felt pretty rested. One of the reasons I've been so hesitant to go camping is because I now have a bad back. I was pleasantly surprised to find I didn't have any back pain the next morning! So I now know that overnight camping is okay. Someday I'll try to camp for a longer period of time and see how that goes.
We ate breakfast and went for a jaunt at the Provo Falls. We had fun seeing the three or four smaller falls along the trail. We tried to find a real hiking trail and got sidetracked going up a road that lead to more camping grounds. By the time we got down we were ready to go home (I guess only 6 hours of sleep can do that to ya). So we went home. Here are some pictures of our adventures.
