Good News I Forgot To Mention!!!

I've been doing an internship at the Special Collections and Archives in the basement of the Merrill library on campus. I pretty much do a little research, maybe organize and package it a little better, create an inventory, and then I'm done. I've processed two manuscript collections, two photo collections, and a Box Elder Sunday School Ledger from the late 1800s, early 1900s. Some of it was fun, some of it was boring, but all around it was a good experience. Everything I processed had something to do with Cache County. During the semester the Cache Valley Historical Society had a fundraiser, and they were giving out $500 in scholarship to two people. It just so happens that the secretary of the society was one of my supervisors, so he let me have one!! I did process three different additions to the Cache Valley Historical Society collection. They now have 10 boxes, five of which I processed. I was given a check last week, and so now I have a little extra money to make a payment on my student loans!! Yay!!! I just have to dress nice tomorrow so Jami (the other winner) and I can have our photo taken for the club, and I'll be given an "award" in February at some point. I'm surprised I got it after all the crap I gave him about the collection, but I'm still glad he gave it to me! Yay money!!
