Hey Santa!!

I noticed that one of my friends posted her letter to Santa, and I thought it was about time that I wrote one to the Jolly guy myself. I think the last time I wrote one to him, I was 18, and it was my first year on my own. My roommates and I did it, and it was our ridiculous wish list of things that probably weren't going to happen, at least not any time soon. So this isn't really a letter to Santa, but "My Grownup Christmas Wish(es).":

  • I would like to find a CAREER, not a job, one that I would be good at and enjoy, before I graduate so I have some security when I drop the title of Student
  • I would like that job to be at least double what I make now (although I would definitely appreciate MUCH more than that), so I'll be able to put a dent in my student loan and other bills (I know I shouldn't complain about this, because going to school outside of the state of Utah is expensive)
  • I would like to get outside of my bubble, and stop being an introvert, and start hanging out with friends more often and make new ones, so I don't feel content getting home at night and just sit in front of my TV
  • Going on a date with someone new, just to get out there again, would be nice
  • My brother to come back from serving overseas, and to NEVER go back there (Two tours with less than a year break between the two is a little much I think), and to be able to start in school immediately would be nice too
  • My parents to be able to get the house the way they want, and my mom to get a job if she decides to do that
  • To be an Aunt, although I don't know that will happen next year
  • A certain someone to ask a certain someone to marry them, and do so by the end of next year (and it's NOT me!)

Yeah, I think that's a good list for now. I have so much to be grateful for, and I can't believe how the time has flown (I've been in school for almost 7 years! It's RIDICULOUS). I hope everybody has a magnificent Christmas, with lots of family, laughter, and food. . . and they don't lose power (we were without power for about 4-5 hours, and the house got down to 52 in some parts of the house).

Actually, the "Becoming and aunt" thing might come faster than you think ;). I'm not saying that it's happening now, but the "trying" (not practicing) will commence within the next couple months or so.

And can I just say, it's WONDERFUL to be in a house with lights and warmth! Yay!

I'm still totally curious about who needs to propose to who.

(Note: if you're waiting for me to propose to you, I'm just waiting for you to be ready. :-P)
