My New Year's Eve would definitely not be called exciting by most, but I enjoyed it. I didn't feel like going to a party where I knew hardly anyone, so I decided not to do anything big this year. I was going to just sit at home and watch movies till midnight, eat junk food, and all that fun stuff. But a friend ending up coming up, and we watched a movie and spent hours playing Rock Band and Guitar Hero Aerosmith. We paused long enough to watch the ball drop before returning to playing. I didn't go to bed till after 3, and I really wasn't all that tired. I spent the first day of the year in my pajamas, and I only left the house once to get something from Home Depot. My laptop is being stupid and won't charge, but we weren't sure what the problem was, so my laptop is now in Ogden. Hopefully it will be fixable since I can't afford to buy a new laptop, although I wish I could, because that would be AWESOME!!
This semester should be a relatively easy one since I'm only taking four classes and eight credits. Two fun/work out type classes, a folklore class, and american military history. I will actually get to work more than 20 hours a week, which is also rather exciting. At the moment I'm debating using Tuesday and Thursday morning to go to work, or workout. I'm still working at both the museum of anthropology and in the development office, so hopefully I'll be able to get a lot more work time so I can start paying off bills now.

to do a delayed New Years Party, which will closely resemble us normally hanging out, but there will be more ice cream and more time in bed and lots and lots of DVD goodness.
That should have started out saying "Because you know that if I'd been in town, we would have spent it together -- When I get back, we're going to have to do...."
Oh -- and though it will looks like us normally hanging out to the rest of the world, we'll know that it will have extra awesomeness because it's a delayed new years party. And there may be some confetti.
Happy New Year!
Which folklore class are you taking? I'm taking Material Cultures. Good luck with your nice and relaxing semester! :-)
