Valentine's Day Adventures

This Valentine's Day was probably the busiest one I've ever had, and I didn't even have a date! It started with a trip up to Idaho to do a walk through of the Bear River Massacre. We walked around on farms, roads, and got a real feel for the battle. When I remember, I'll post pictures. It's probably sad to say this, but I had a lot of fun, and since I terrible with guessing distances, this really helped me a lot. It was, of course, freezing that day and snowing on and off for the two or so hours we were out and about.
When I got back home I stood in the shower for over 30 minutes, and it felt so great to be under so much heat (I actually used it all up). I had time to eat something, and then I met a friend to see Taken. She didn't tell me that she doesn't like violence, so she probably got more of it that she wanted, but it was a fabulous movie!! I don't know if it's better than the Bourne movies (one of the things it said in its previews or advertising), but I really enjoyed it.
I had a few hours of downtime, so I started doing research. In my US Military History class I have to do a presentation on something during the history, and I will be doing it on George Dewey. I only have 10 minutes to talk, and I'm a little worried I'll go over. Just to make sure I've remembered everything, I'm going to reread the biography written about him, and I managed to get some pages out of the way before meeting friends for sushi.
Sushi was Delicious!! Happy Sushi is really good, and I've never had a bad experience there. I met two of my museum coworker friends, Bonnie and Melissa (Melissa has classified the three of us as BFF's, but I think it was because she was either still drunk from the night before, or she had a hangover and didn't like how I and Bonnie discussed things), and Melissa invited two of her friends. We probably ate for over an hour, or at least sat and chatted. The food was good, the company was good, and it was a great time had by all.
As we were parting ways, Melissa and her friends wanted a ride to the bar, so I thought why not? When we got there, she bought me a virgin margarita and daquari. The drinks weren't that great, but it was fun just hanging out. After a while they decided to go to a different bar, and so I went with them as their designated driver (who knew there were at least two bars in Logan?). The other bar was a lot more crowded, had better music, but I just don't get bars. I'm sure they're great for social networking, getting drunk, and whatnot, but I still don't get bars. Needless to say, I will never drink (it helps that I don't even like VIRGIN drinks), and I don't really have the urge to hang out at a bar anytime soon. Chalk it up to experience, and it was fun hanging out with Melissa and her friends.
