Book Post #2

I have finished the Sookie Stackhouse series, thus far. Every book was finished within a 9-12 hour time frame, and if I had known she was still writing books (next one due in May of 2010) I may have waited in starting the series. At the rate she's writing though (Charlaine Harris, the most fabulous author), she may still write another 10 books before she decides to retire the character. In trying to read one of the books online, I found a website dedicated to the series and new TV series, True Blood, and learned there are some short stories as well. I've read all of them except one of them, which I will hopefully get in the next week or two. I also caught a glimpse of the TV show, and I'm not impressed. I have a picture in my head, and none of the characters much up very well. And it doesn't seem like Pam is a character, which is stupid b/c she's an awesome character. Plus, the main vampire dudes were not what I pictured, and they're not that attractive.
Anyway, keeping with Charlaine Harris, I've been reading one of her newer series, about a chick who got struck by lightening and was able to find dead bodies and see their last moments before death. It started out kind of slow, and not as much action as the Sookie series, but the third book was pretty good. It wasn't until after reading the third book that I found she had released another book in October, so now I must patiently wait for that one as well. Luckily I've started watching Highlander and am also reading Anne Perry again.
