Word Verification

I think it's weird that the word verification different sites have you fill out to move to the next page (whether it's to leave a comment, buy something, or whatever) aren't actually words! Blogger used to use real words for verification. At least they haven't moved onto the weird letter/number gibberish that other sites use. I understand how they're important, but couldn't they at least make it real? I actually enjoy typing in real words rather than trying to decipher whatever the letters are supposed to be b/c they're in double italics or something.
