Happy Update

I figure since my last couple of posts have been downers I'll write a happy, if not somewhat chipper, post. I've been thinking about all the rotten things that have been happening to people I know, or who are going through a tough or stressful time. I have a lot to be thankful for.
I'm finally trying to fit in, or at least make friends, in my ward. I went to ward prayer and met a lot of interesting people, and we played a fun game. I was going to go to FHE, but it was raining, and I ended up playing games with my family.
One of my friends told me about Meetup.com, which is a website made up of groups with similar interests in mind. I joined a couple of them. I went to a play at the Desert Star, which was a parody based on The Pirates of the Caribbean. It was all right, but I remember the last play I went to being more funny. It was nice to be with people, and get to know people, and just be out to have fun. I have another adventure this Friday. I'll be going to dinner and then to the Dueling Pianos, or whatever it's called downtown. I'm rather excited for that one, I've been wanting to go for awhile now. Just never had the opportunity or the people to do it with.
I'm really lucky in life. Even though I've had a hard time getting a job, I've been blessed to have family close. I have a roof over my head, a nice comfy bed to sleep in, parents who are willing to support and live with me while I'm trying to get my feet planted. I have a car that works, that I don't owe anything on, and that gets me where I need to go. I have friends that keep in touch, even if I don't always do much to maintain the friendship, and I know who I can count on when I need it. I really do have a great life, even if I'm really frustrated with it at times.
