Today and yesterday have not been my days for punctuality. Thursday morning I turned off my alarm and decided to "close my eyes and relax for a minute", which turned into 30 minutes. I got ready barely in time, but I didn't have time to eat breakfast, and I woke my mom up late. To top things off, there was a different bus driver this morning, so he was actually early to my stop. It's amazing how quickly you can get into a routine. Well, we try to catch up with him, and we're almost to the I-215 overpass when he finally makes a stop. We quickly pull over and I get on the bus. While on the bus I try to get ready for my long wait in the cold (15 minutes) for the bus. I make sure I have everything and I freak out when I don't find my bus pass in my pocket. I pull everything out, and it's not there. Luckily it wasn't breezy in the bus and I found it lying on the chair. Minor heart attack, don't worry I was fine. I had the usual fun of trying to stay warm at 6:15am, walking up and down the sidewalk to stay warm. The rest of the day wasn't too bad, but even though I got an extra 30 minutes of sleep I was still tired.
Today started out just as badly, if not worse. For the first time in I don't know how long (I would say years, definitely plural), I forgot to set my alarm. So I'm having a slightly pleasant, slightly odd dream of being a returned veteran's wife of the 1950s in an awkward funds situation with another couple, when my mom wakes me up. I look at the clock and it's 6:35ish (my clock is a minute or two fast). I'm up, dressed, and walking out the door for work. I had time to grab my snacks for the day, but once again no breakfast. I don't like this trend. I was lucky, my mom lent me her car, and I was only five minutes late to work. Not bad if I do say so myself. Luckily one of my supervisors was also starving so we went to the food court for some breakfast. I had some food court "money" from some online training I did, so I only paid 22 cents for breakfast. Very happily, my day flew by. Towards the end of my shift I was actually trying to hurry and get stuff done. Some I did, some I didn't, but oh well.
Thankfully I'm done for the week, next week is a fresh start, and it's only 3 days long. Hopefully it goes off without a hitch!

I hate days like that. I used to work in the mornings and the days you slept in was the worse. I hope you have a good Thanksgiving.
