Good news!

I applied for a night lead supervisor position at work, and I was very excited to get interviewed last week. For the most part I think I did well; there were a couple of questions I cringed at my answer, but I couldn't really think of anything better to say. I was told I would find out sometime this week if I got the job.
I was called into my supervisor's office on Tuesday. I figured it was good news, so I was pretty excited. I was told I would be offered the position, but I had to be informed about some of the things to expect with the position. It was good hearing some of those things, and the reminders were helpful, but most of it I was aware of (e.g. don't talk about stuff spoken of inside meetings or among supervisors to anyone else). I'm excited and nervous about this new opportunity. I never pictured myself as a leader, but I feel this is a great opportunity for me. I'll get to learn more about libraries and the different services there are, and I'll get to teach some of the e-portfolio classes.
I officially start in the position on December 16, but between now and January I don't know if I'll have too many opportunities to be a supervisor. Since it falls around the time of Christmas break, I'll get to do training, and may have some opportunities to be a supervisor. I won't begin my night shift until January 10. I'll have Fridays off and I'll have to work and I'll work all day Saturday. Luckily I'm able to work around my school schedule, and they are willing to work with me on the Saturdays I have class.
